I am eager and passionate about helping others with the experiences and knowledge I’ve acquired.

I have 20 plus years of industry experience, including being a Consumer Advocate for the Insurance Division. As an advocate, I investigated concerns and complaints submitted by consumers, protecting, and educating policyholders of their rights. I had the honor to work alongside Oregon’s Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance Program (SHIBA) and gained wonderful relationships with their staff and volunteers. What I enjoyed most about that job was helping others with what I knew.

In addition to insurance, I am also versed in pharmacy and was a certified pharmacy technician for many years; and, served as the Pharmacy Program Manager for Medicaid at one time. I have experience with administering and implementing health insurance policies and benefits, through my work as the Program Development Specialist for the Oregon Medical Insurance Pool, Oregon’s “high-risk” health insurance for uninsurable Oregonians.

I’m an Oregon native, growing up in Central Oregon until early 90’s, when my family moved to Salem. I graduated from Sprague HS in 1993; attended Chemeketa Community College, Portland Community College, and Oregon State University. I am a proud mom of my two kids (son and daughter); both graduates of South Salem HS. I am passionate about my family, my dog, playing outdoors as much as possible, my wonderful Jazzercise family/friends, and spending as much time as I can with my mom, brother, and sister-in-law.
