I immigrated to the United States during the Vietnam war as a child and had to adapt to a new culture, the general difficulties of growing up, and leaving the only home I knew. As a first-generation American, I learned to overcome the confusion and frustration of unfamiliar territory by breaking down complex topics into components that are easier to understand. I apply this approach when helping clients navigate their Medicare choices.

In 1977, Portland, OR became my home. I attended Portland State University where I met my wife. I used my degree in computer science to propel myself through a career in IT that taught me the importance of listening, communicating, problem solving and working with many people of diverse backgrounds.

After 16 years, I realized I wanted to help others in a more meaningful way.  I pivoted and studied massage therapy at Western States Chiropractic School. After graduating, I opened my own massage clinic, where I treated patients who suffered from chronic pain, auto accidents, and pre- and post-operative care. I specialized in pain management and impactful treatment as they were vital to a patient’s ultimate recovery and have always been focused on my client’s long-term goals.
